Aviation Safety Network have prepared her annual stats for 2017, as usual, pointing out this year that it has been the safest year in airliner aviation history. 10 accidents is a lower figure than expected, having in mind 2016 data. As it is clearly shown on the tendency chart, accidents are less and less every year, as numbers have been dropping since the stats are up. This does not mean that we can n longer improve safety. Not at all, but we are improving by sure.

Aircraft Safety strategy must be implemented aiming to keep diminishing the figures, to a point where accidents may become a total exception, given in very small numbers, even smaller than the ones we currently praise.

The most important accidents took place in Tanzania and Costa Rica in November and December, while there were 5 accidents with 1 or 2 fatalities.

There were no accidents during take off, 2 at the initial climb, 3 en route, 3 during the approach and 2 at landing.
